Paul Mansell is an author, performer and ukulele teacher based in England. His debut album ‘Me, My Ukulele & I’ on KM Records is a mix of classical and contemporary pieces all played on the solo ukulele. From the joyful ‘Raindrops keep fallin’ on my head’ to the complex ‘Concierto de Aranjuez’ Paul demonstrates the complexity and beauty of what the Ukulele can achieve. The album also explores flamenco with the self-penned ‘Spanish Dance’ and ragtime with Paul’s composition ‘Fallin’ Coconuts’.
Paul has an honors diploma on the Ukulele from the Victoria College of Music and is a regular contributor to Uke Magazine. Paul specializes in playing classical music on the ukulele and his latest book ‘Classical Uke’ concentrates on this area. Published by Kevin Mayhew Ltd it has 20 classical pieces transcribed by Paul for low and high G ukuleles. It features pieces by Bach, Carulli, Sor and others. Paul is currently writing a tuition book and is performing at the 2018 Music and Drama Expedition at Olympia in London.
